About us

We are PASCOM. From our headquarters in Deggendorf, we develop and distribute one of the most modern cloud telephone systems in the DACH region. As a SaaS solution, we support companies in taking their communication to the next level. Our team consists of IT enthusiasts, over 20 of whom work in software development and currently three in the DevOps sector. As we are constantly growing, we are looking for reinforcement for our infrastructure experts.

Your Profile

We're looking for ambitious QA Testers with a technical background who don't just follow the happy path — they question everything, break assumptions, and find the problems nobody else thought to look for.

The ideal candidate is a lateral thinker and creative problem-solver who approaches testing with curiosity rather than routine. You'll work with our international team on our PASCOM phone system, spanning VoIP, open-source software, and modern web technologies.

What defines you

• You think critically and outside the box. You ask "what if?", challenge assumptions, and spot inconsistencies others miss.
• You put yourself in the user's shoes — seeing the product through the eyes of an admin, an end user, or someone setting things up for the first time — to catch usability issues and edge cases before our customers do.
• You'd rather ask an uncomfortable question early than let a bug reach production.
• You're ready to learn something new — constantly. Our stack spans VoIP, networking, web apps, mobile, and cloud infrastructure. You're energized (not intimidated) by unfamiliar territory.

What you bring

• A technical background or relevant hands-on experience.
• General networking and API testing fundamentals.
• Comfort testing across platforms: desktop, mobile, and web.
• Familiarity with the Linux command line.
• A collaborative mindset — you work on equal footing with developers and your lead to continuously improve our platform.

Nice to have

• Experience with Jira, Asterisk, SIP protocol, VoIP provisioning, or test automation.
• System administration skills.
• Previous exposure to open-source ecosystems.

Your tasks

• Test desktop, mobile, and web applications across platforms — manually and exploratively.
• Report bugs clearly with reproduction steps, logs, and impact assessment.
• Collaborate with developers to clarify requirements and challenge assumptions.
• Set up and maintain test environments, test data, and API tests.
• Continuously learn new concepts, technologies and domains as our product continues to evolve.
